Hey builders,
I am sure I recall seeing a drawn template for the upper wing plywood root rib but now I can't lay my hands on it. Can any of you confirm whether or not this is included in the plans? I suppose I could just trace one of my truss ribs...
Thoughts?
Thanks

Re: Upper Wing Root Rib
Hi Nick,
We would suggest not to relay on a paper rib template, as it it possible that it doesn't match your wing profile form. We made our template as follows:
Place ( temporarily attach) the butt rib (flat bottom, otherwise oversize) with the cut outs for the the spars and brackets at the 1,5° angle to the top wing root. Then trace a line with a ruler (lenght must be at least 25", which is more than to rib bays), which has a sharp pencil mounted ( the pencil must align with the ruler's bottom) along the oversize butt rib by slideing it along the rib contour.
You got it? That way you get an accurate rib, which matches your actual wing profile.
Kind regards
