Hi all,
The manufacture of our speedring by spin forming is a time consuming and risky work, hence it is not a cheap part. Price has not been fixed yet, although it is above $1000.-. A mounting kit is available at extra cost as is the possibepolished finish (if it will not be painted). We have cut it apart and mounted it on 4 "elastic" positions and tighten it by means of a spanner (see pictures). This is pretty well about the way as the big Waco guys do it. As we are useing several wooden moulds we intend to run batches of orders of at least six rings in order to keep cost as low as possible. The nice thing is that the same ring (with differently positioned mounting positions) can be mounted on a 7-cy. Rotec as well.
Here are some detail views:

Any interested in a quote please email at hans.u@aeroplaneworks.ch.

Looks great! Can't wait to see it in the air!

Have you decided on a paint scheme yet, or is that going to be a surprise?

Hi Doug,

We are still looking for the right 1930 vintage style paint scheme. While Sam and I have almost the same taste what concerns the structural look (design) of our Hatz, we have different thoughts about the paint scheme. My wife doesn't like silver dope wings while I do. Also we still haven't decided about the covering system.
We hope to get the right input at Oshkosh or Brodhead this year!
