FSBW2A and RSTW3 Doubler
'm not sure what I'm looking at….is the bracket cut there to make room for it?

Re: FSBW2A and RSTW3 Doubler
I used two NC nuts welded together then welded to the bracket:
As for RSTW3 doubler….weld all around except the top.

Re: FSBW2A and RSTW3 Doubler
For RSTW3 I did not weld the top edge but I did weld around the rest. I was concerned about not welding the top and the fact that the two surfaces inside are just bare metal. When I did the powder coat I applied a very heavy coat along the top seam. I have looked carefully at pictures posted by others and some are welded and some are not. The only reason that I could think of not to weld is that it creates a slight undercut and could provide a stress area. I thought of soldering it but worried about the flux getting inside.
Since I went with the powder coating rather than paint I was very happy with how it filled the seam. Epoxy paint might fill just as well.

Does it come in steel or just stainless steel? It may be difficult to weld stainless to the 4130 mild steel bracket.

I agree with Scott, I might try one of these http://www.boltdepot.com/Coupling_nuts_ ... steel.aspx

Wasn't sure about welding, but in that case, this one should work. Thanks! http://www.boltdepot.com/Product-Detail ... duct=12113

Re: FSBW2A and RSTW3 Doubler
John,
Tonight I hit that point in my build and went looking for hardware. I noticed that your link doesn't reference any 1/4 x 28 hardware as called out for on the plans although you could use the 1/4 x 20 version, I think that I am going Scotts way and welding two 1/4 x 28 nuts together. If you use 1/4 x 20 I don't think you will be able to find an AN tiedown ring with those threads. If you weld two nuts together be sure that you insert a bolt so that the threads stay aligned.

Try this link for 1/4-28 couplers. Of course there are 10 to a pack and you will have extra's

Thanks for all the responses. I guess I'll send an order to Grainger. If it's too long, I'll cut it. The coupler I received from Bolt Depot was definitely too small (#10).
