build wings or fuselage next?

Hi...going to finish building ribs by February and I'm wondering what to build next. I'd like to build the wings and center section since I have the room, but then, I'd have to store them for a few years (probably in EAA Chapter hanger) and worry about damage. With the fuselage, at least I can wrap it up and roll it out of the garage for a couple of months to finish the wings.
Just wondering which sequence you followed and if you'd do it again that way. Thanks!

We built wings first and hung them up in the shop. I kind of like having the wings built so that I can get the spar attach points on the fuselage just right.

I agree, finish your wings. You've got your woodworking tools out, so keep going. Once you start on the fuselage and other metal parts, it can be hard to mentally shift gears and go back to a previous task. Also the wings are easier to store and take up less space. I'd advise that you get them finished and varnished before storing them. Unvarnished wood really collects dirt and dust and is hard to clean later.

I agree with Mark ...Wings first, varnish and store. I built this simple wing rack at my hanger to store my wings while I have the last wing at home constructing and fitting the first aileron. I had the same thought too that completeing the wings first will allow a perfect fit of the wing attach fittings on the fuselage.
