actual fuselage tubing sizes

Post by orchardair »

Hatzers,
Has anyone determined all the exact sizes of tubing on the fuselage? I am not talking about lengths, just OD and thickness.
For the life of me I can't understand why some sizes are called out for while others are not.
If anyone has an annotated sheet 11 with all sizes, that wouldn't be a good thing to share.
Thanks.

I posted my 4130 materials list to the forum a while back. See:

I hope this helps a little.

Scott,
Your list is VERY helpful, and I used it when ordering my tubing, but when looking at sheet 11 I can't tell actual tubes used for some of the members. :|

There is a note on page 12 which states all tubing is 3/4 X.035 unless noted. Does that help?

A-ha! That is the missing piece on page 11.
Thank JD!
