Hey guys thanks again for the insight on the wires, I'm sure I'll have a few more questions as I get back into the building mode.

I too called Dave at Steen today, and placed my order. He wanted me to remind all that he is looking to submit the order very soon, so as thy say "last call" But seriously he wanted to make sure everyone had a chance to get in on the order.

I also want to thank my good friend Kevin up in Tulsa, OK at Airman Acres for letting me know an order was underway.

I contacted Dave @ Steen for the prices and they are:
Single order: $4446.88
Group discount price: $3950.74 (as Ed mentioned)

So the discount is good, but not as as big as previous years. This is probably due, in part, to currency valuations of U.S. dollar.

I decided to check through the old posts and see what past prices have been and this is what I was able to find:
2005 Single order: <unknown>
2005 Group discount price: 2196.00

2007 Single order: 2700.00 (approximate)
2007 Group discount price: 2100.00 (approximate)

2010 Single order: 3998.72
2010 Group discount price: 3187.20

2011 Single order: 4028.40
2011 Group discount price: 3116.12

2013 Single order: 4446.88
2013 Group discount price: 3950.74

As you can see, every few years prices go up to the point that the previous single order price (roughly speaking) becomes the new discount price.

I asked, but Hans didn't know.

What is the price this year without the discount? Just curious.

My cost in the group order $3950.74, that includes all flying wires and stainless fittings, does not include shipping.

I've not heard of anyone having any problems using the Makelan dimensions. Maybe Scott Plischke can chime in here. He just did his first test assembly and by all reports everything seems to have fit just fine. Scott, can you add anything here?

I suppose you can order only the wing wires, but you'd need to work with Dave @ Steen to work that out. Do you already have tail wires?

The wires are streamline stainless steel and include all the hardware: end forks pins, cotter pins, etc as well.

Regarding Cost & time, maybe Hans can update you on that as he is coordinating the order. When I ordered mine a few years ago the group discount price was around $3100 ($4000 if it was a single order). I don't know what this year's price is, but John or one of the others can probably tell us. As I recall it took around 3-4 months from the time the order was finally placed until they arrived.

Hey guy, Just wanted to know a couple of details on the flying wire order:

How do the wire fit if ordered (size) from the Makelan print?
Can I only order wing wires not tail wires?
What shape & finish is being ordered?
Does this order include all the ends?
Oh and the big one... is there an estimate of cost & time?

Precisely why I can't encourage folks strongly enough to order now if at all possible.

I just talked to Dave @ Steen Aero and he is looking to finalize things and place the order w/Bruntons sometime the first week of April. So, time is getting short. If you haven't bought these yet, but plan on needing them in the next couple years I strongly suggest you get on board and order. The savings is significant with more than 5 people (around $800 or $900 per order) and the price only goes up year over year.

Please work with Hans as he is coordinating this year's order and also get in touch with Dave @ Steen Aero (http://www.steenaero.com/ (321) 725-4160 ) and make sure he has your shipping and credit card info.

Time's running out for this round of orders. It can take anywhere from 12-24 months before there are enough people ready to again.
