Good Day gents.
In rebuilding my centre section spars, I think I've come across an error in the Classic plans. The plans call for the front spar to be 5-3/16th" at the highest point, and for the rear spar to be 4-1/8" at the highest point. But no matter how I measure it, I can't see the front spar as higher than 5-1/32" and the rear spar 3-13/16". If I make the spars according to plans, the Centre section will be about 5/16" thicker than the top wings, which is obviously wrong.
If anyone out there has their centre section handy, I'd be obliged if you could tell me your centre section spar dimensions.
Also, the Classic plans centre section end rib is notched along the top and bottom edges. The top edge notch appears to be there to accomodate the top aluminum sheet of the fuel tank, and the bottom to accomodate the 1/4" plywood on the bottom of the section. I have seen photos of other folks centre section, but nobody seems to have made the top edge notch in the end rib. So I'm wondering how you all went about it.
Any help on this is most appreciated. I don't want to build the centre section wrong AGAIN.
