I considered these but passed on them for a few reasons where they don't match the plans:
Plans
Material: 321 Stainless
Threaded shaft length: 1.5 in
Groove Depth: 15/16 in
McMaster (QA1) forks
Material: Carbon Steel
Threaded shaft length: 1.25 inch
Groove Depth: Not clear, some images look deeper?
The packaging indicates they are made by QA1 Precision Products (
http://www.qa1.net/rod-ends-and-related ... s/clevises ). The QA1 site also mentions Chrome plating. If they are plated then they need to have spent some time in an oven to address hydrogen embrittlement. These are structural components and their site doesn't specify whether or not they meet aircraft standards.
I'm not saying they won't work, just saying there wasn't enough info (in addition to the differences) for me to feel they would serve as a comparable replacement.
